A bit more about me
I started life as an accountant, worked in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 30 years, ending up as Chief Executive. On taking early retirement I attended a bookbinding course at West Dean College, and whilst there saw some fabric collages being created. I returned to attend that course in the following year (2001) – and was hooked. All my textile interest has grown from then. I have attended many courses, some at West Dean and others with Committed to Cloth and at Morley College (in southeast London).
Together with my wife Sarah (also an artist) we established and ran Burgess Hill Open Studios from 2003 – 2013. I have been active in the British tapestry Group, acting as Treasurer for 5 years.
You can see further examples of my work at the British Tapestry Group.
